The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tracy is an after-school enrichment program focused on academic success, character and leadership development, and career readiness for youth. Each site is required to keep a daily schedule of activities.
Children are waitlisted when enrollment is full at your child’s respective site. When openings are available the Unit Director will contact you with details on how to proceed. Children waitlisted may not attend a program at a site they are not currently enrolled at for the school year. Children transferring from other schools will have to re-enroll into their new school’s BGCT program.
Yes. Parents and guardians are expected to re-enroll their children each new school year. Registration dates will be announced online and by your respective site’s Unit Director. Stay in touch for announcements via social media or contact the Unit Director for more information.
The program begins from bell dismissal until 6:00 PM. During school breaks, hours begin from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please check with your school’s BGCT Unit Director for more details. Please ensure you arrive before 6:00 PM to pick up your child and to notify the Unit Director of any delays.
Late pick-up may be subject to a fee. Hours and dates are subject to change.
Staff will not dispense any medication to children; however, if your child has a condition that requires medication during the program, please contact the Unit Director or Lead to discuss the specific circumstances to best determine how your child’s medication needs may be met. Staff must be notified and alerted to any medical condition upon enrollment.
All Boys and Girls Clubs of Tracy staff are vetted through various background checks and are routinely trained on safety policies and procedures. Staff are directed to address potential issues proactively to ensure a safe and undisturbed environment. BGCT staff are also trained mandated reporters.
Some sites do offer meals to members in the middle of the program. Snacks may also be available but are donation-based. Snacks containing peanuts will not be accepted at any site. Please feel free to donate individually wrapped snacks to your child’s site.
Parents can designate any number of adults authorized to sign their child(ren) out of the program. Please bear in mind that by placing an adult on your list of authorized pickups you are indicating that it is acceptable to release your child to this individual without phone verification. Parents may always review their list of authorized pickups by contacting the site’s Lead or Unit Director.
